A DREAM of a hoedown Wagga wedding, complete with country music and lots of dancing was just part of the reason Lisa and Michele Saffery took their children to march with 8000 other people in Sydney this weekend to support the legalisation of gay marriage in Australia.

The two women have been engaged for six years and moved from Sydney to Coolamon a year ago with their children, Gemma, 6, and Jordae, 5, to provide the best environment for their family.
