Marriage equality around the world

Here is a list of countries which allow same-sex couples to marry, together with the dates on which same-sex marriages were first performed.

The Australian Government does not recognise same-sex marriages entered into overseas. It also refuses to issue Australian citizens with the documentation they require to enter into same-sex marriages in some other countries. For more, click here.
